Hello everyone! My name is Lyndsey Moss, and I will be serving as your instructor for this course. I am so excited to have you in class this fall!
I am a graduate of St. Andrews (GO KNIGHTS!), and I earned a BA in Business Administration (2013) and an MBA (2017). I graduated with a PhD in Business in April 2022 at the University of the Cumberlands (Williamsburg, KY). During my undergraduate career at SAU, I played volleyball and was a member of the Business Club.
I served as the Assistant Registrar and Registrar at SAU for 6 years before transitioning into full-time teaching. However, I did serve as a part-time instructor for 4 years while serving in the Registrar's Office. Prior to working in higher education, I worked in the healthcare business setting and had several roles including HR assistant, inventory manager, patient services representative, and medical biller.
I am a native of Ellerbe, NC - a quiet, peaceful country town - and I currently reside there with my husband Jeffrey, my 7-year-old daughter Kensley, and 1 year old twin sons Jenson and Nelson. I enjoy playing sports (volleyball, basketball, softball) and watching baseball and football! I am an avid outdoorsman and like to camp, water ski, fish, hunt, and garden.
I am here to support you along your education journey in any way that I can. I have been an adult, full-time, online college student while working a full-time job and raising a family, so I am aware of the many demands and challenges that adult online learners face. I am looking forward to sharing my business knowledge with you throughout the course, and my goal is for you to complete the class feeling more confident in your business knowledge, written and oral communication skills, time management, and organization.
